Leading venture capital firm Gaorong Capital has just announced that it has
completed the fundraise for its fifth USD fund (“Fund V” or the “Fund”) and
raised US$1.15 billion. As one of the most active venture capital firms in
China with approximately US$4 billion assets under management, Gaorong Capital
will continue to focus its investments in early and growth stage opportunities
in areas such as new consumption, new technology, enterprise services, and
healthtech.
Gaorong Fund V was substantially oversubscribed with strong demands from its existing and new investors. From launching to closing, the fundraising process took just a little over a month, demonstrating the world’s top institutional investors’ conviction of the Gaorong team. Commitments of Fund V come from a broad base and geographically diversified group of leading institutional investors, including sovereign wealth funds, charitable foundations, university endowments, funds of funds, and renowned family offices. In addition, the founders of multiple top TMT companies and traditional corporate giants also become important investors of the Fund.
Since its inception in 2014, Gaorong Capital has achieved outstanding performance and returns from its investments.
